Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Wheelie the Runaround Play Bus based

Wheelie is based on the Wirral, prices are based on a 10 mile radius, venues outside of this limit are charged a fuel supplement of 1.50 per mile each way. The reason for this charge sit harpy Wheelie is a very thirsty bus who does 7 miles to the gallon.

How much room does the bus need

The bus is just over 33 foot long ( takes about 5 car parking spaces ) just shy of 14 ft high and just over 8ft wide.  We need to be able to park where a car can safely pass the bus without any damage to either vehicle and that we have enough room to manoeuvre. We also have to be very careful of low or over hanging trees. If your not sure if the venue or your house is suitable, we can arrange to come and check the venue for its suitability.

What happens if the bus breaks down

Wheelie is an old bus who has been very well looked after and restored, however with anything mechanic it can break down. If this happens you will be informed immediately, we will try and resolve the problem on the spot, if this is not possible we work with you to seek a suitable alternative.

Is there a toilet on board

There is no toilet on board the bus, it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that one is available at the venue the event is being held at.

Why do you need an electricity point.

Wheelie requires a main socket to be plugged into for electricity to run the lights, disco and heaters on the bus. We provide the appropriate extension leads, we just require you to provide the electricity point at the venue.

Are the children safe on the bus

Safety is our paramount concern, therefore we have specific rules of play to ensure the safety of all our guests. Depending on the event there will be either a driver or a driver and party host to run the event, we also require two adults from the booking to assist with the supervision. Children will only be allowed of the bus with one of the adults assign to assist with the event. We also create a safety area around the doors of the bus for added protection.
